Just got in to work. While walking here, I saw a Dalek on top of the Stata Student center.

Why am I not surprised that MIT consorts with Daleks.

I mean we all thought DARPA and NSF and other national grants helped fuel along the patents and innovations that come out of this place, but obviously we know the truth now. I suppose we have to write quarterly progress reports to the Daleks, now. And people will have to remember acknowledge the Dalek-sponsored projects at the very end of papers, when we mention sponsors. Probably award no. DLK-004756 or something.

I wonder if Daleks restrict international flights to US Air carriers.... probably not. I hope I don't have to keep writing requests for travel approval for upcoming trips, I just don't see a Dalek administrator emailing me back on a timely basis.


How did that thing even get up there.
